WTAS 01 - Tas Oak repair work
Here we can see evidence of a home DIY attempt at sanding back and refinishing their Tasmanian Oak timber flooring.
You can see the marks left by a drum sander digging into the timber.
Also when proper sanding depth is not achieved, then marks will remain. It is difficult to achieve with the wrong type of machine but it is worth removing the deep scratches and varnish.
One of the worst parts of timber flooring is the water damage, this part has been damaged for a long time and the dark patch is penetrated deep into the timber making complete removal impossible.
And now the final result, with marks removed and a nice shiny top coat finish applied properly. With the proper treatment even damaged timber can look brand new.
